Examine what is said, not who speaks

I know a guy who is a big fan of a local preacher. It’s like everything this preacher says is right and biblical. But this is not the case. In fact, your “hero” may be not saying anything special or even flat out wrong. Just because someone you may admire is speaking on a topic interesting to you, doesn’t make them always right.

Imagine someone else, wait not just someone else- imagine you or a friend of yours saying what that same thing- how does it sound now? Does it sound inspiring like you once thought?

Always examine what is said, not who speaks it.
