Your Story

whats-your-story
The past week leading to my flight yesterday, I participated in some pre-trip training. Part of that training was to share our stories. John Gilberts, one of the leaders of the training, said:

“Sharing our stories can be just as if not more worshipful than any Sunday morning service.”

Powerful words that you may doubt at first, but once you experience people sharing the depths of your heart, it doesn’t matter if you know them or not, it is a deeply worshipful experience! The honesty, courage, and vulnerability it takes to be able to share your story isn’t like

It’s personal, sometimes wrought with pain, suffering, and hardships, but also overflowing with forgiveness, redemption, and hope. Few things are as powerful as the story of God working in people’s lives.

If you want to see some great stories of God working in people’s life, check out I Am Second. There is a great collection of some powerful stories on there that you can enjoy.

But, I want to challenge you to share your story with someone soon, even if you think it’s boring, it’s the story God gave you and the story you can use to impact someone’s life.
