Try to imagine life without keeping time.
You probably can’t. You know the hour, the day, the week, the month, the year.
Yet all around you timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. Dogs don’t check their watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. Man alone measures time. And because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures.
A fear of time running out.
Don’t hear me wrong, I’m not trying to say that you should stop keeping time. But instead, start making time for things that matter, because who knows when your time will run out.
Ferris Bueller famously said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.”
Life is beautiful, life is exciting, but too many people allow other things to distract them from experiencing a beautiful and exciting life. Don’t miss it.
